32-bit, sure, but a downgrade in every sense
Coming from the H4n Pro, I had high hopes for this one, and my hopes were dashed on the rocks - sure, it's 32-bit, but even basic things that my H4n handled with no problems like plugging a guitar in, is beyond the realm of this supposed upgrade.
I will be looking for a different and most likely previous gen device instead, this was all hype and a lot of disappointment.

Awesome
Used the H6essential on a few field sessions - the thing behaves exactly how you want it to. Straightforward interface, no guessing. The 32-bit float headroom is a real advantage: it’s almost impossible to clip, and the noise floor stays low. The built-in mics are honest, and with external capsules the recorder really shows what it can do. Build quality is solid, feels like a tool you can throw in your bag every day without worrying.
