Xotic X Blender

This is an excellent utlity pedal that does exactly what you'd expect i.e. gives you serial and parallel effects loop capability on your pedalboard but with the added features of a pre-amp with gain, eq and boost options so you can make sure you don't lose signal when kicking in vintage pedals and the like. A particularly useful feature is the large blend knob you can operate with your feet for fine-tuning fx level. I'm using this with a Morpheus polyphonic pitch shifter and the X-Blender instantly turns it into a footswitch-selectable harmoniser and I can easily turn the harmonies up or down with the blend knob, or switch back to series loop for straight pitch shifting. The X-Blender is well made, easy to use, and does exactly what it's meant to.
