It feels like a plugin EQ from 20 years in the future.
That’s the impression I got...in other words, it sounds absolutely good.
It’s a bit unfortunate that the Q values for the LF and HF bands are fixed, but the plugin control functionality far exceeded my expectations in terms of usability.
Unlike many plugin EQs where it barely feels like the sound changes, I was amazed at how even a 0.5 dB or 1 dB adjustment could clearly and decisively shape the sound. The Hyperion lets you truly grab and control the tone. The natural character of the HPF in particular is on an entirely different level compared to digital EQs.
It reminded me of the excitement I felt in my twenties when I bought my first paid plugin effect. It feels like anything is possible with this thing.
Originally, considering my budget, I planned to stop at just this one outboard EQ. But now I’ve suddenly become very interested in other products from WesAudio as well. Considering these units are far from cheap, that’s a bit of a problem.

Great unit
Great sound and features that you cant find on other devices. Could use on mixing and mastering as well. Very versatile unit!!
