I had a little problems with these at first when trying to apply full fulcrum approach. I watched some videos of Gavin playing them and adjusted my grip accordingly to a grip slightly more towards the palm of my hands. And voil'a no more calluses! Slightly unusual with a slighter tapering than say 5A:s more like a 2B with a rather unique rounded tip. Good reliability and fairly normal wear. Gives the drums a good punch due to the tapering, big tip and good length. Almost like a marching stick. Highly recommended if you're into volume and definition!
