Vandoren V16 Alto Saxophone 2.5

Excellent sound & Projection, when used with my Meyer 6 Alto sax mouthpiece,not too harsh or too mellow, just perfect

As an alto player I want to have the classic sound with some modern edge. It is like a mix of Cannonball Aderley sound with contemporary sound. I use Theo Wanne NY Bros which is a large improvement for a vintage Meyer and bought this reed to try. May be I do not like "american cut" but neither V-16, nor ZZ suit me. Java Red have much more modern sound and better compression.

Sound quality very good. Only one problem that percentage of good reeds in one pack - 70-80%. But if you found good one it will be grate sound
