Thomastik DP100 Dominant Pro Violin 4/4

As a long time user of Dominants, who switched to Larsen Tziganes about five years ago, I was hoping these strings would be the perfect new string. On my violin they were harsh, brittle and didn't settle after two weeks. Threw them away and went back to Tziganes... not for me, but could work for some. Disappointed but I'm sure they are a good string.

These strings genuinely make playing easier. The tone quality is immense. You can make a very brilliant sound on the E-string and simultaneously play brilliant on any other string. There is a lot of depth in the sound. It sounds rather deep than metallic. In my opinion synthetic strings have always been proven to be one of the best for the violin. I always rebuy these strings as a mostly solo performer on the violin.
