This was the only non-rackmount case I could find for the Soundcraft EFX8. It fits nicely and there is room for a cable or two under the mixer. Sadly the quality isn't great. Weak wood and profiles; you wouldn't want to stack other cases on top of this one. The Thomann logo is very large and still visible even after 10+ layers of spray paint. Ah well, a cheap case for a cheap mixer.

SAVED MY DESK

So I've had my case for nearly two years, it not only contains my desk but an interface (Roland Duo) Headphone amp, cables and power all tucked just underneath the desk.
The catches did start to show a bit or wear and tear but for the amount of use it gets that is to be expected.
However the important bit is how well does it do the job of a hard case? the answer is very!
Last weekend while working a family festival rather foolishly left my desk in front of the wheels of my car. and after loading everything else decided to drive away.... straight over my case with my desk and all the extras nestled inside. a little confused to the bump i carried on before running over it with the back wheels for good measure. unsuprisigly the case is totalled splintered cracked buckled and warped but to my surprise, inside its caracas everything has survived without even a scratch all dials attached and straight.

So here i am buying the same case again to replace the flat one, so it can continue to protect my desk after its comrade gave its life to do so.

Does exactly what you expect

Great choice for safer and more comfortable transportation with a cheap price.
I bought Thomann Mix Case 4044I as a hard case for Soundcraft EFX 8 Analog mixing desk, we used to actively use it for about 6 month after which we switched to a different mixing desk. So far it has proven to be trustworthy, durable, able to withstand sizable amounts of weight (As we don't have a big car, we had to put all hard cases including this one in the bottom of the car. All the musical instruments, drums were put on hard cases to save space for other gear. It became a routine every time we had to play a concert using our own gear to put this case in the bottom or middle).
Pros:
1) Durable and trustworthy
2) Reasonable price, even cheaper than some cases made from cloth
3) Has enough space for mixer + a few wires which helped us save a little space in our small car as well
Cons:
1) Henges are made from plastic, but still have a strong feel
2) Inside the case is completely flat, "rubberlike", safer amortisation could be achieved with cube foam.
