Thomann Latin Expert 11" Conga

This is a well-built wooden conga from China. The sound is very good and the build quality also seems to be very good. It was a stroke of genius from Thomann to put the Remo Fiberskyn synthetic heads on their own Latin Expert conga series. The Fiberskyn has a full-bodied sound and even my poor slaps come through. The cost of the Fiberskyn head alone is more than 2/3 of the cost of the conga, and when you buy the conga, you also get a sturdy stand to go with it. The only small issue I have here is that Thomann could have made the stand optional to save transport weight and cost (if you are playing the congas sitting like me).
