Not the one trick pony I was hoping for

It might be more up to the expectations I had, but I felt a bit disappointed at what this pedal delivered. I wanted an easy-to-bring pedal that could add some compressor punch and character to the voice, but found neither. Sure, it compresses, but not nearly as much as I was hoping for. And its character is a bit too modern and harsh for me. I guess I was hoping for a pedal version of an LA-2A, and that it is not. :) But as I said, that could be the err of my expectations. On the other hand, if it doesn't provide a nice punch and character to the voice, I fail to see what the purpose would be of using it in the first place...? Maybe if you sing in a dull mic it could be a bit of a saver? As of now, it's by no means a bad product, but it ended up not diminishing my need for outboard gear, and then it's suddenly just one more thing to bring, and that's where I simply stopped using it. Not because it's bad, but it doesn't fully justify the extra step of bringing it along.

I bought this one and it works prefect, small and easy setup.

The effect of this pedal is very subtle, yet very nice sounding. Compresses your voice very smoothly, and one can vary the compression from very light, to almost heavy compressed. Though the warmth button fills no purpose for me. On our PA system it almost always results in a bit muddy sounding voice, and is a lot more sensitive to feedback. If you compress a lot it will sound like you lisp, because of the hard de-essing. But if you use it carefully and listen while you turn the knobs, you're able to find some sweet spots for every voice.
