They probably fixed the fan-related problem...
This was on back order when I placed my order about 5 months ago, so my particular unit is likely fresh from the factory. And it seems that Swissonic have addressed the issue of the noisy fan, that some reviews tell of. Mine is running completely dead silent...
It seems to be built like a tank, well it's rack after all, so quite expected. The fact that it's rack mountable is just great, and another selling point. The 16 USB ports on the front is more than enough for me, but great because I hate having to use more than one USB hub. So I'm set for the future, even if I decide to expand my setup significantly.
USB devices that carry USB noise on their audio line, will still be noisy when using the Swissonic Hub, but that's not Swissonics fault. Just to mention that it's not a "miracle maker" for those noisy USB devices, and some are particularly hard to "cure"...
The price is just right, well worth it in my opinion, and I don't think I'll ever have to get another USB hub. Where has this been all my life? Don't waste your time and money trying loads of cheaper, crappier hubs, this has everything you'll ever need, and at the right price.

Simply great USB hub, all the pendrive licenses, chargers, USB tools got enough place. No noise at all!

Utmärkt
Fungerar felfritt. Snygg och stilren. Trevligt att varje uttag har en egen liten diod. Har använt den ungefär en månad nu utan det minsta strul. Bara att plugga in och köra.

Ultimata lösningen för fler USB ingångar
Detta var precis vad vi behövde till våran studio då det börjar bli väldigt tajt med USB-ingångar på datorn. Här får man 16 nya ingångar och det funkar med en gång, bara att koppla in och köra den är hur smidig som helst.

Best addition to my studio! No more USB troubles, just 16 ports of high speed USB and 2.4A power delivery one each port. Rock solid build as well.

Works great with multiple midi instruments!
Best USB hub I've ever had. My USB units are quickly identified, and tagged with a name in my PC. Works just great with my old AMD Ryzen 7 3700x PC.
I just ordered a second unit, for the other side of my room. The unit stays cool even in the summer heat!

Awesome hub!
Makes connecting stuff so much easier when you have a rack mount in the desk. And it feeds everything I put in. Some products (TC Electronic Clarity M for example) only work if I connect straight into the PC, but with this it's no problem.
