I think this is the guitar, out of the many I've dealt with, which came with the best set-up work. Perfect action, perfect intonation.
The guitar itself is extremely comfortable, light. Ideal for traveling. And of course, the electronics are consistent to their description (there's no surprises to expect with this pick-ups).
The 8 string being as thick as it is, this is asking for a drop E.
The "Endurneck" is a very interesting concept, and very well developed. It may get on your way in some strange cases (e.g. playing upper frets on thicker strings), but it's a plus in most cases and playing styles.
The body itself isn't amazing. My piece seems lighter than other basswoods, and it doesn't seem to add many details (you know, in terms of resonance, et cetera). Being a "metal" guitar, I doubt this would matter to many.
It's a "metal" guitar indeed. Its playability is amazing. Its electronics are great.
