I use the UF8 with Nuendo 11 (which is pretty much Cubase Pro 11 with extra features).
Coming from mixing with a mouse & keyboard using the UF-8 is such a relief for my wrists, i.e. an ergonomic tool.
I've seen complaints about the lack of dedicated transport buttons, this is however not a big problem since you just have push soft key 1 to switch the softbuttons above the displays into transport mode.
The knobs are plastic which may or may not be a problem depending on your preferences.
The box is made of metal and feels very sturdy, the controls may have plastic knobs but feel very well chosen for their purpose.
In short I really like my UF8 despite the kind of funky looking knobs.
Pros: Ergonomics + you tend to listen while turning the knobs instead of looking at the numbers on the screen (which I'm guilty of when using a mouse).
Cons: A steep learning curve if you like me have almost no experience of DAW-controllers.
The price off course, but it is somewhat justifiable since the UF8 comes with a set of SSL's rather expensive and useful plugins (which I love BTW).
