Sturdy, but somewhat heavy
These are low cost plastic maracas with wooden handles. As one could expect, the sound is a bit "plastic". What you buy is what you get. The one negative that I had not expected is the balance and weight. They feel heavy, but not in a "snappy" way. Extended play will result in well-trained wrists.

Nice handles, give good grip. Also easy to modify - I changed the fill on mine - it is all a matter of taste.
