Soldering my own mic cables

To save money and for pure enjoyment, I got 30 meters of this cable to make 5 mic cables (3x5 m and 2x7.5 m).

The cable is thicker than my usual one, but still supple. I will be using them in the studio, not live.

It seems to be of very good quality, is easy to trim and solder.

I am happy I went with this quality.

Good microphone cable, but...

I like this cable and once it's been soldered it's great but I don't like that it has some sort of textile shielding around the hot and cold wires. It gets in the way when soldering the cable so you have to cut it off.
