Selmer SM-B12NL Ligature Alto

It's a nice ligature, the single screw makes it quick and easy to fasten, but it just seems to be too big for my Selmer mouthpiece.

No matter how tight I screw it, if I adjust my mouthpiece's position the ligature tends to slip.

I bought this ligature to go with my new Selmer S80 mouthpiece and although it works well and is easy to use, I sometimes find that because it only has one screw the reed can come loose or misaligned, especially when removing the mouthpiece from the instrument. I still use it regularly but prefer the standard two-screw ligatures or a Rovner with a more beefy single screw.

I am very happy with this purchase, this Selmer ligature is of very high quality and affordable price. But beware - it is packed into a soft-cardboard package and is can be easily smashed, as was mine when delivered. Make sure that it is packed well, ask customer support for details.

Selmer name is enough for good quality and reliability. No second thoughts. The mouthpieces, ligs and cap they make are give so satisfaction.

very nice ligature which I use on my yamaha c4

I bought this to replace my discoloured ligature. However, it doesn't fit with my current mouthpiece cap. Likely needs a Selmer cap (paired cap with website would be useful!).

These are the best value for money single screw ligature, IMHO. I use these Selmer ones on my Yamaha Alto and Tenor Saxophones, they get on very well.
