Sticksaver alternative to die-cast
This hoop lies in between triple flange and die-cast and produces very powerfull rimshots. The rimshot is fatter with 'longer' sustain than the very sharp ones you get from die-cast while if feels significantly less rigid and forgiving both for the hands/wrists and the drumsticks. Even hard rimshot hitters can prolong the life of their drumsticks.
Note that it might be problematic to mount mic rim clamps or triggers, depending on their design. The Roland triggers can be attached if firmly tightened, but they end up leaning inwards and also get loose faster.
I would like to see slightly less inward flange length (similar to the vintage slingerland) which would slightly reduce the sustain and allow for an easier mount of accessories and triggers. Would also love to see a black nickel version.
Overall quite a nice in between hoop version with huge rim-shorts and happy wrists / drumsticks.

Love these hoops. Rimshots are really comfortable to play, for the wrists.
