Roland CYQ-12 12" Cymbal Pad

Extremely quite. I bought it as an hihat so I was expecting good triggering on the edge sensor and perfect separation between edge and bow triggers because of the isolated design but that wasnt the case. The edge triggering was clearly better on my previous cy14c-t. Still not a disappointment though because it’s really quite. The stuff under the mesh head adds a bit bounciness.

I replaced the ride and hihat on my Roland kit with CYQ12s and couldn't be happier. No more clack, clack, clack ruining the great sounds from my drum VST when practicing or recording. Like all edrum components it behaves in a unique way and does not exactly match a real kit piece, but it triggers reliably, does everything I want, and is very easy to learn and play. I didn't even need to change any settings.
