Have used these for a couple of years now, keeping my acoustic guitar at a right moisture level in its hardcase. I haven't tried any other type of humidifier, but the ones I've seen seems to have some type of open water container, which this does not.

Pros: Very easy to use with no risk of water damage.

Cons: A bit pricey, otherwise none
