just a change of colour.
Big fan of the black ones but thought I would try out the reds ones purely for a change as they match the colour of my kit and more importantly may be a little more visable when setting up. Been using them about 4 years now and they are great.

Not worth it
The cymbal sleeves that come with your stand are free. These are money... also you have to buy extra things if you want splash attachments. Save your money
