MXR Phase 90

This wonderful phaser by MXR was easy to understand from the moment that I got it out of the box. It?s limited controls makes every option sound amazing, yet it?s a very versatile pedal offering sounds ranging from a slow sweep in the background, to psychedelic quacks that remind me a lot of an envelope filter by a simple turn of a knob. The box itself feels extremely robust and is not gonna give up after the kind of life that most stompboxes face in the hands of a musician. Just like with most modulation pedals you can get very different sounds from this amazing box by either placing it in front or behind a drive pedal. I quickly found that I prefer mine in front of a drive pedal, which gives it a slightly darker, deeper and more powerful feeling. This amazing box can by applied to many different styles and now that I?ve seen what it can do, I?m pretty sure it will never leave my pedalboard.
