Martin Seibold Adjustable Spreader; max. length 70 mm; additional support in or in front of the tuning slide ensures a more robust, centred tone and improves the projection of the instrument (not suitable for reversed lead pipes); the effect is particularly noticeable on trumpets that do not have a factory-fitted tuning slide support; notes lock in more stably, especially in critical areas such as the upper middle range and high register; the instrument responds more predictably and with greater control overall; the length of the support can be adjusted for your own instrument by turning the claws

Very bad finish, hard to use

Marius Ursu 03.11.2026

This item comes with very sharp edges (not finished, they cut like a knife) where it should touch the trumpet pipes, and you will destroy the finish. First you need to clear those grose imperfections with sandpaper, and then use it. It may be also very large for some trumpets (it hardly got in place on Yamaha 5335). Very expensive for what it offers. It does make a huge differemce on how the trumpet responds, slotting is much better, but it needs a lot of.work to make.it usable.
