You can chain several together, drape them over legs of regular lighting stands, counter-weight on boom arms etc. I have filled mine with small stones instead of sand - that avoids the mess of sand grain everywhere.

Bought these because I've rented them for years and wanted to have some for myself and not have to rent them for every shoot. Can't go wrong here.
