Quality of German Engineering
I used it for extending my microphone stands and it does it's job exactly as expected. The quality of the threads, machining etc oozes what you expect from German made stuff.

Very good piece of kit
I have a few of these extension bars. They are simply 1m bars with a 3/8ths male on one end a 3/8ths female on the other. I have used them for getting more height from normal mic stands, and made a Decca Tree using these and a few adapters.

Finally, a K&M product that is not scratched
Yes, I got this and miraculously it arrived without any scratches, despite the plastic bag it came in being pretty battered and punctured. This is very unusual for a K&M product. Almost every K&M product I have purchased (and later returned or exchanged) reached me with ugly scratches all over the place. This is because K&M packaging is inadequate and fails to protect the product. On this order I had also bought a microphone stand and the threaded end was literally poking out of the big Thomann box when the courier delivered it, just to give you an idea of what I mean by "inadequate". When contacted, K&M seemed indifferent and made excuses like "the packaging is not designed for shipping, it's designed for buying the product from a store". I think that's just lame, because in 2023 online sales are very common.

Handy accesory
I ordered two of those so I could either:
- extend two stands
- stack them on top of each other to extend one stand very high.
What I did notice is that there appears to be a slight 'bend' at the position of the female thread. Meaning that when attached to a K&M mic stand, the top part (this extension pole) is nog 100% vertical.
In itself not really a big problem. I can rotate the pole of the base in such a way that this bend is parallel to the microphone, that way it doesn't show when viewing from 'behind' the mic. But it means that stacking two of those on top of one another is not going to be possible (was never a good idea to begin with).
I underestimated the 1m length a bit. Which is a good thing, these extension poles are going to be better than what I anticipated. I always can get the 500mm ones as well if need arises.

The perfect little part.
Do you need a little extra length?
I use these to build a professional looking Decca tree. They are awesome for the job.

Not for K&M 260/1
I am just wondering, why this extension tube can't be mounted to K&M 260/1....
Could you please explain reason for?

I <3 K&M
All joke aside, you can`t realy go wrong here. Either you don`t know what you want or don`t know how to get it. It`s a piece of metal that you put in a stand, heavy and nice, just like it`s suposed to be.
