Maybe this will slow the tinnitus..

As a trumpet player I use this to take the edge off the trombones. I used to be blasé about the sound level but now have worsening tinnitus. I use this in rehearsals, and increasingly in concert. Some might think it excessive and it is certainly a pain if you have to carry it any distance together with instruments and the rest, but it certainly helps with the sound levels if you are struggling.

Great for many reasons, and here's six of them.

Review by a working trumpet player.

If you use this in combination with the K&M 11900 deflector w/stand, you get:

1). Less bleeding into the room on your home recordings.
2). Less volume to drive your neighbors nuts.
3). You won't sterilize either your audience or other musicians in front of you.
4). The FOH will get less of your acoustic sound in smaller venues, and won't mix you out.
5). Gives you a better setup to work a mike more effectively.
6). There is nothing that must be attached to your bell which can make your horn front heavy.
