Köpte en, gillade att jobba med den så mycket att jag beställde en till.
Jag använder dom när jag spelar in sång och bas. Har en till varje nu, så slipper jag ändra inställningar beroende på källa. Har aldrig använt "orginalen", så jag kan inte jämföra hur väl dessa kloner replikerar en 1176, men jag är mycket nöjd med hur det jag spelar in låter genom dessa. Till priset av en dyrare plugin känns det som en nobrainer!

For the price, just wow
I haven't interacted with too many 1176-style hardware units before, mainly the warm audio. I bought this one on account of its pricetag, really undercutting all the competition. With my experience of 1176-style modules I really find it competing with the sound of other modules. Unless I buy another (far more expensive) version I don't see myself disregarding it. The build quality feels reassuring and the sound is great.
In my opinion this unit is a definite recommendation for any mixer, as it delivers characteristics of compression most plugin-manufacturers haven't been able to capture. All this whilst being really affordable, and none the less a resource for the physical response that buttons and knobs gives you.

Klark Teknik 76-KT, 1176 for all
The Klark Teknik 76-KT Is a great sounding compressor overall good compressor for all tasks, for example Vocals, drums, guitars,..
i like the simplicity yet good results, it is warm and nice just adding a tad on your mix or tracks do them good.
At this pricetag you cant go wrong, you need two units to go stereo, as this unit is mono. no Cons , just plain good piece of hardware.

Probably the best of the bunch
The 1176 clone is great for what it is. It is a reproduction of a very old circuit which makes it: not so full of features, rather high noise floor by modern standards and big(!).
Personally I wish they would have made their own spin on the concept bringing the size and noise floor down. But as it is it sounds great.

Jämfört med Warm Audio och Lindel audio 17xs
Håller den här måttet. Den låter som en 1176a Precis som Warm och Lindell, bara en ytterligare variant av 1176. Behöver fler i framtiden när jag trackar trummor. Finns inget att klaga på.

Äntligen får jag sången att låta som på skiva, distar snyggt när man kör alla knappar in läget.
