I've used the Wampler Ego Compressor for over 10 years so the controls were not straight forward immediately but took less than 5 minutes to get used to.
Think MXR Dyna Comp with added controls for mix and tone.
Construction is sturdy and for the size it's heavier than one might expect.
Soundwise my first thought was "oh this is really clean" both when bypassed and when engaged - obviously depending on your other equipment and how high the treshold is set.
Given the recent trend of "studio compressors for guitar", which mostly are aiming for 1176-style compression, aiming for the sound and compression of a 660/670 tube compressor is interesting.
Cons: none really IMO, except possibly for the pricing and the user's taste lookswise.
