To be honest I was looking for a classical guitar with more strings since I do all my sounds without any backup or overdub.
When I played my latest " live" concert I felt that I needed a fuller/ bigger tone, I was also lacking in string options especially for alternate tuning possibilties.
There was no point in enhancing my classical guitar with a microphone because the sweet spot (maximum response) is about "15" feet in front of the guitar.
Suddenly this guitar popped up. I took a chance and bought it.
Pro:
The neck is very smooth and makes easy access playing scales.
Great intonation and the frets are adjusted perfectly. Extremely easy to get overtones and quick response when using tapping.
(Thanks to the service team).
Con:
The guitar is little to heavy for me when playing "standing up".
The pickups are very hot when using distortion. (Tried to rock).
Solution and satisfaction:
I play this guitar as a classical guitar, sitting down using fingerstyle.
Running the guitar clean in a (50 w combo speaker) the pickups gives a natural drive "almost a vintage tone" and response very quickly when alternating between attacking and muting. The string separation is clear when playing chords and makes a fluent bridge to melody "single notes" playing, and the highest E string never gets thin.
" I had to get new gear to be able to play old music."
