They're good, but there are better.
Levi C. 12.06.2019
These are generic roller string trees that you can find on many different websites at a similar price. They're great if that's what you're looking for, but I realized that they don't fit Strat style guitars very well, both in aesthetics (debatable) and in function. I bought a Harley Benton Strat here (ST-90SA Swamp Ash DLX) and these to go along with it but if you look at the stock trees of the Harley Benton ST guitars you'll realize that these are too tall for both the left side (D & G strings) and especially the right (B & E strings) since that original tree sits much lower.

The quality is not great either which is to be expected at this price point. I ordered two and one came in broken at the wheel part, which is fine bc I decided to keep the original trees and just slightly sand the insides of them for smoother action.

Overall I will give these a positive rating because they are great if you know exactly what you're looking for, which in this case is basic roller trees.

Spinning trees
Christopher6076 20.03.2018
If you own a Harley Benton guitar based on a Fender shape or any other clone for that matter then get a pair of these, you will not regret it. Tuning stability is very much improved simply by allowing the string to glide forwards and backwards freely as you bend. Seconds to fit, they save a lot of angst!

Good if quality controlled!
Arthur6472 15.11.2014
I gave this low stars because one of the two items ordered was defective - the transverse roller rod was over long by about 2mm making it unuseable. For me, though, this quality control oversight was fortuitous: it led to the discovery that most of the name headstocks only have one string tree. None of the guitars in the Fender brochure that came with my previous Stratocaster had more than one string tree.
As rollers are intended to reduce friction for a floating tremolo, it makes sense to dispense with a string tree on D - G strings. And so far so good!

Impressive
Mamoru 26.06.2023
Those are quite great for the price.
Roll smoothly (but could always get a little bit better with lubing) and have some weight to them.

I really enjoyed the looks and feeling of them on my guitar, and I think it was a nice upgrade from a kind of faulty string tree that was gripping on strings.

Like the look, does it’s function
Miguelast98 10.01.2022
I like them, not too much to ad, maybe the finish is not the cleanest but I mean look at the price, they does look killer compared with regular fender ones and away cheaper

All string trees should be roller types!
Gabell 29.04.2026
For the cost, why aren’t all guitars, which require the provision of string trees fitted with roller string trees?….. These are excellent value, but they should be a standard fit on even the cheapest models!….
Until manufacturers realise just how important the lack of friction is, especially on electric guitars fitted with tremolo units, keep a few of these in your home oddments box, because it takes minutes to replace the basic fixed trees, but saves time in the long run, reducing the amount of retuning!

Good cheap replacement product, no screw included
Kalle W. 28.10.2021
This fit nicely on my strat style guitar and seems to fulfill its purpose, the build quality is fair and it looks alright. Howevere there was no screw included, and this needs to be kept in mind. If you are replacing an existing string tree this should not be an issue, but if you want to add a new one you need to find a suitable screw as well.

This is where HB parts can really shine
Adrian0072 20.08.2020
Why pay a few euros more for another identical part when HB make the same thing for cheaper? this does exactly the same thing, and it does it well! Thanks Thomann!

Exactly what you think it is
WhoDatNinja 28.02.2026
Replaced the string tree on my Jet JS-300 with this. The idea is that a roller string tree helps the guitar stay in tune when using the tremolo arm on the guitar. Really simple swap, just screwed this one into the same hole. Not sure how much of a difference this actually made, but it certaintly didn't make tuning stability any worse.
