An amazing bass!
I was looking for a bass on a tight budget as a guitarist for home and studio recording with my band and stumbled across the MV-5… whatever its name is.
Right out of the box it looked great, no signs of use or anything broken. Felt great in the hands, plays amazing without need for adjustment. Sonically it’s great and I have no complaints, it’s just that I don’t believe in this idea that “pickups matter.” As long as the pickups are functioning you definitely don’t need to swap them, and these pickups are just like any pickups of higher price. Definitely no need to be a snob with these. Noticed an ever-so-slight scratch of the tone pot, but my 1000€ Ibanez guitar has scratchy pots as well. How could I complain about a 260€ bass?? It does its job and even more! Great bass, Harley Benton.
