You should only order this if you're ready to put in some work, or you'll be stuck with a barely playable instrument that you regret buying.
The nut needs to be filed down quite a lot. I changed the strings out for a light gauge set (personal preference). Since those strings equipped with loop ends (like most mandolin strings) I had to prepare a thin copper rod to put through all the loops behind the bridge. I dismounted the pickguard from the body to shield the inside spaces, remove all protective plastics and because I was curious. After remounting and restringing, one of the pickup screws didn't take. Turns out the plastic in the screw holes in the ends of the pickup casing was so soft that the hole had widened so the screw just kept slipping. I had already planned to change the pickups, so no big deal - but you should be aware of this issue before buying. The finish on the instrument is passable, but notably the worst I've seen on any Harley Benton branded instrument. Looks pretty good overall, but there are imperfections pretty much everywhere if you look closely. The truss rod cover is cut very amateurishly. I plan to change the nut for a bone nut. The tuners haven't caused any issues so far (after maybe 4 hours of playing time), but if they do they'll get replaced immediately.
After all the changes the mandolin plays great, sounds great and meets all my expectations from an electric mandolin at any price point.
