Amazingly well built guitar with poor electronics
This is one of the best built guitar that I have played on. Fantastic finish and ever so smooth neck. Tuners and bridge feels solid. Some of the frets feel like they are a bit coarse on the strings, but it goes away quickly as you play. A lot of this guitar feels high end.
The only real downside of this guitar are the electronics. The pickups are noisy, even on clean. The alter switch feels just like 5 extra bad sounds on the guitar, perhaps it is that which causes the extra noise.
The pickup selector switch has a lot of play, it does not affect the switching but feels cheap.
Harley Benton should just remove the alter switch and wire the two humbuckers with a good 5-way switch like Ibanez does. I feel like it's hard to find the good sounding positions on the Fusion IV.
