Bra trä, lite slipning här och där, men på det stora hela väldigt fint. Delarna passar bra ihop.
Man skulle kunna strunta i solid färg och bara klarlacka kroppen, om man har tur med materialet, det hade jag.
För att få det riktigt bra så måste man nog kunna lite om bandslipning och setup. Nåt band stack upp lite och alla var lite råa. Men efter lite fix blev halsen kanon. Snyggt med nästan svart greppbräda.
Det enda jag har att klaga på är fjädrarna till stallet som var för svaga.
Samt att alla hålen för fjädrarna inte var borrat i stallet, men det var lätt åtgärdat.
Jag är gitarrbyggare själv och köpte kitet mest av nyfikenhet, men resultatet blev långt över förväntan.
Jag fick en jättefin Strata och priset är ju, för att uttrycka mig milt, väldigt lågt.

Bought this product as a first attempt to finish and assemble a guitar. For that purpose it is a great purchase.

I used a stain + oil finish on the guitar and it came out great looking. Beware! If you plan on staining, you have to do a LOT of sanding to get the woodfiller out. As for craftmanship the neck was really well done, dead straight and good fretjob with quite a nice feel to it.

The hardware is so-so, especially the trem is very lightweight. The electronics is quite a hassle as it barely fits in the routed cavity and the mics sounds pretty bad. However, the plug-in feature is great. Also note that some of the pre-drilled holes (mainly for bridge) isnt necessarily correct, so be prepared to make new ones.

You need some knowledge of how a guitar works, as the instruction manual wont help you one bit.

All in all, i would recommend this kit. Especially if you, like me, plan on upgrading the guitar bit by bit (hardware, electronics). If not, it is at least a fun project that will help you gain some knowledge in woodworking and guitarbuilding.

I bought this cus I'm not familiar with string instruments, especially electrical. DYI caught my attention directly. My home studio is most for experimental sound pieces a. To see the inside and how everything is put together and that you do it yourself gives a more profound understanding to the instrument, it is personal.
It is super easy to put this together, the manual is somewhat clear, not IKEA clear but more than enough. Before putting it together you have the option to do a paint job on the raw wood.
IF Thomann group sees this review, you can put in some more technical and musical theory into the manual. For example Maybe that's a stupid idea but Im all for those.
I can't talk about pros and cons due to my limited knowledge about guitars but I suppose there is for those who are into it, but for a layman it is ok-good.
Pros would be the customisations of painting it. Cons there is no tuner included, for those who don't own one.

I bought this kit about a month ago, and I have finally finished the guitar. I have modified the body, burning it to make it look more rough, and then using mahogany stain to make it darker, and covering the pick guard with copper. I also got rid of the crome layer on most metal parts to reveal the copper metal underneath it. This is one of the good things about this kit. It is easy to work with and to modify (and it is not too expensive ? if you happen to fail). After some filing of the frets and the nut (this is necessary) and some other adjustment it sounds great.
By the way, the neck fitted in the body just as tight as it should, and the neck was perfectly aligned with the body (even though there was a couple of extra holes drilled in the base of the neck).
All in all it was a very good experience bounding this, particularly as it was the first guitar I built. Thank you Thomann.
