Harley Benton CLD-65ME NT

Truly surprised.....what a find and what a buy. Great build quality but like anything time will tell, but every thing is in the right place. The sound from the this thing will make you play for hours. I'm working on bluegrass/flatpicking at the moment and it just sings with either a firm or light touch. The guitar was set up pretty well for the price, action playability all fine and no buzz so no immediate work required......I'll probably get it checked over in the future simply coz I like it so much. To say it's comparable to more expensive guitars is often an over used phrase.....but mine certainly is !!........For the price; just try it.

I had my fingers crossed that this would be workable. Been an experienced player and well capable of all guitar setups, I was prepared to give this a setup before even playing.
What happened when I opened the box put all my concerns and guitar snobbery to rest!
Firstly a beautiful antique guitar type feel and finish, neat and simple with the mother of pearl around the soundhole just grabbing your attention.
A sight down the neck of a beautiful straight neck, a run of scales up and down the strings and frets made me realise I dont need to adjust anything, not even a slight shave of the bridge or nut! Absolutely ready to go and let me enjoy!
After a couple of hours, I was absolutely happy. Ive sold guitars 5 times more expensive than this and stuck with my electrics for 2 years. Ive missed acoustic and my wallet can no longer justify expensive guitars right now so I took this chance. If I was handed this not knowing the price, id easily say a 500 € guitar.
Sound is full and warm, but capable of sharpening up by your strum position, it does it all.
Ive not plugged it in yet but ive no doubt this sound will carry through!
