Gretsch Drums 14"x6,5" Silver Series Ash -SN

After a couple of years, I’ve come to the conclusion that, no... I really don’t like this snare! The lug casings are far too short/small, which makes it very difficult to tune it to the sound you’re after... I would have liked to tune the resonant head even higher, but it’s just not possible! You hit a limit because the lug casings are too short—which is incredibly frustrating... I consider myself reasonably good at tuning drums and getting them to sound great, but with this one, it simply doesn’t work for me. I paid around 2,300 SEK for it, but I’d say it should really cost around 1,500–1,700 SEK. At that price, it would have been a relatively good purchase. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it’s not worth the money! I give it a rating of 2 out of 5.
