Gravity MS 23 XLR B Microphone Stand

At first glance, the Gravity MS 23 XLR B is a very solid and stable stand. However, there are several details worth paying attention to. Although it includes a gooseneck extension, the overall height limits how and where the stand can be used, which reduces its flexibility depending on the application.

The biggest issue is the XLR connector. I’ve ordered several units, and the connector tends to fail quickly. In a few cases, I found clear manufacturing defects — the insulation on the wires was scratched during preparation for soldering, which caused intermittent contact. Additionally, the internal cable inside the stand should be slightly longer; as it is now, the contacts inside the connector are under tension, which accelerates wear and leads to crackling and signal dropouts.

After extending the internal cable slightly and protecting the contacts, the problem was resolved in practice.

Overall, the stand itself is mechanically strong, but the connector quality and internal wiring need improvement.
