Even though kitchen foil would do the job just as good with removing the statics, the self adhesive layer makes this shield screen basically impossible to rip and therefore a better choice when it comes to handling the material.

There is a thin but strong plastic coating underneath the foil that you will have to cut with a scissor prior to applying it or with a xacto knife after.

It was slightly difficult to peel the backside to reveal the sticky side (I had to use a very small surgical plier).

For me it removed the popping noises coming from statics when touching the pick guard. It will not remove 60Hz hum from single coils. Further shielding will be necessary for that.

Else a good buy, and very cheap to.
