The sticks lights up when you hit something and after that the light is slowly decaying which makes quite nice effect when you play in the dark. What's more, the harder you hit the more light they produce. Unfortunately there is no way to adjust the speed of light decay or making them to light up at max every time. The batteries can be changed. When it comes to rate them "just as the sticks" - they are not so good to play and can not match any wooden stick. They are worth buying only if you love the light effect.

Beautiful drumsticks, the lights are not so stronger as the others colors avaiable, but it still works great, even on a electronic drum. I didn't try it on a acoustic drums, but I think it will be great too.

This thing is so much fun! Gives really nice light.
