Good service from Thomann; bass came well protected. The action was a mile high so it needed adjustments to the truss rod. It was my first time taking the neck off (half off) so it was a bit daunting but surprisingly easy. Further adjustments made at the bridge. The fretboard was bone dry, but I had some lemon oil for that. The neck is pretty wide but you get used to it after a week or so. It plays and sounds really well. There's a deadspot on the 4th and 5th fret of the G string, but Google says it is very common on Fender basses, so I marked the quality down for that. One other minor gripe is the plastic cover is caught underneath the finger rest and control knobs, so I'll have to unscrew them sometime to take the last bit of plastic off. Still a happy customer and enjoying my first Fender bass :)
