i got it as backup/project guitar for my main band.
I use 28" baritone tune to drop A on this band but i can play on 27" also.
As completely original it was a normal downtuned tele without any intonation issues.
I ended up modding it quite a bit cause the tele sound didn't really fit my playing style. I wanted humbuckers and all..
So bottomline: If you like the sound of a downtuned tele then get this. You won't have to deal with intonation and tuning stability issues that a shorter scale length guitar might have on really low tunings.
You should always tune your guitar by comparing the twelfth fret harmonics with the twelfth fret fretted to double check intonation.
This guitar has major intonation issues because the bridge saddles for the strings pairs two strings preventing adjusting the length of each string individually. It's a shame because it could've been a great guitar if not for the bridge.
Buy a better baritone with bridge saddles for each string even if it means spending more money. Thomann has better baritones than this one for cheaper.
Google Fender intonation 101 for more information on intonation issues.
