Not as sturdy as I thought

Two months in and the nut under the 1st string cracked, showing also a complete absence of glue of any kind. I didn't like that it wasn't finished, the parts sticking out were not filed and the 6th and 4th strings were not sitting properly, but this... Also the varnish seems to be already coming off. I had the previous neck for 27 years with no issues of any kind. Total disappointment.
