Modern better sounding...
If you like "humbucking noisecancelling pickups", this is it.
Dimarzios Hot jazz did not work for me, loud, dead and without dynamics. The sound like Seymour D Stkj, but with higher output and more bass, and what more can you ask for. I think the trick is the phase cancellaton you get when you have two magnets stacked, you got little tast of planet Stingray and it counter the dip in the middle freq. you experience with dull singlecoils. You get a sound naturally proned to slap, and a funnier, more complex fingerstyle sound. And they are reasonably priced......BUY!

They sound great
I fitted them into my Fender MIM and they are simply great. They are very clear and produce just the right amount of basses. Can recommend them.
