Leider sehr Kopflastig
Die Gitarre kam recht gut eingestellt und lies sich gut bespielen, was die Saitenlage und Saitenspannung angeht. Drop A ist mit den Werkssaiten durch die lange Mensur gar kein Problem. Die beiden Pickups sind in Ordnung, man findet schnell einen guten Sound. Sie haben allerdings nicht ganz so viel Output und Bass.
Bei der Verarbeitung fielen mir einige Mängel auf: Der Sattel war ziemlich scharfkantig und nicht gut ausgefeilt. Einer der beiden Einschlagbolzen der Bridge war nicht vollständig im Korpus versenkt und einer der Tuner war leicht schräg montiert. Der Lack hatte einige Unregelmäßigkeiten und Kratzer.
Was die Bespielbarkeit vor allem im Stehen wesentlich verschlechtert und auch der Grund ist, warum ich die Gitarre zurückgeschickt habe, ist die sehr große Kopflastigkeit. Diese ist deutlich stärker ausgeprägt als bei einer Gibson SG, obwohl der vordere Gurtpin bei der LTD schon am oberen Horn befestigt ist. Es wird deshalb unangenehm, die Gitarre längere Zeit im Stehen zu spielen, trotz des geringen Gewichtes von 3,4 Kg.

Pas mal du tout
Première guitare Baryton. J'ai changé le tirant pour des cordes d'adagio 157. Et là ça décolle !
Y a deux mais c'est plus cher, mais ça fait déjà très bien le job.
Seule défaut pour l'instant : le strass de la sangle coté manche est trop en arrière, du coup la guitare n'est pas très bien équilibrée et elle a tendance à piquer vers le sol. Je vais aller corriger le tir avec mon luthier et tout rentrera dans l'ordre

Good baritone for the price, probably best choice under 800 euros
Second ESP Ltd guitar I bought, the first being an EC-257, and I must say I am equally impessed. Despite the fact that these guitars are not very expensive they do feel rather sturdy, durable and do the job just fine. Of course, as you climb the ESP LTD price and range laddder you probably get some of the most premium features in the guitar world but their entry line is just as impressive.
The Viper 201B is a simple 27 inch scale guitar that is lot's of fun to play. The neck is fast but not skinny and the pickup and tuners work just fine. There isn't much to say about it specs wise. I noticed the fretboard was bone dry, but after applying treatment and oils it came to life and has ra ther nice burnt - brown color that will darken with time. Bridge and neck pickups are ESP designed LH-150 , decent for metal (I don't play anything else). Overall I see this guitar as a keeper and maybe in the future i will change the bridge pickup, install a Graphtech nut and locking tuners. I recomand this guitar to anyone that need a reliable guitar suited for both recording and playing live.
