Bin auf der Suche nach einer Gitarre die die Seele Einer Les Paul hat, aber keine Les Paul ist. Die Firebird Futura hat diese Seele.

Der Mahogany Corpus, der eingeleimte mahogany neck, das ebony fingerboard und die eingebauten Pickups liefern den Sound einer echten Paula.

Die Firebird hat alles was man sich am Features wünsche kann: Edelstahl Jumbo Bünde, Pickups die man splitten kann und auch die Phasenschaltung ist dabei.

Dennoch muss ich die Gitarre zurück senden. Warum? Die ist sowas von unbequem, dass ich sie im Sitzen kaum spielen kann. Dann habe ich das im Stehen versucht. Kein Erfolg. Die Gitarre hat ein heftiges Neck diving Problem: sobald man die Hand vom Steg wegnimmt, fällt das Ding mit voller Wucht nach vorne. Das heißt man muss sich so konzentrieren, das Instrument im Gleichgewicht zu halten, dass man die Freude am spielen verliert. Dazu stört mich noch ein Verarbeitungsfehler: und zwar ist bei diesen Modell die Brücke nicht ganz richtig im Corpus eingeschraubt. Sie sitzt zwar fest, aber die Schrauben schauen ein Stückchen vom Body raus.

Schade, meine Suche geht weiter.
