Great pickups!

I was planning to upgrade my old Epiphone Explorer which already had a Gibson 496R in it with a matching 500T but they were sold out.

Good opportunity to try out EMG's I thought and man - I do not regret my choice.

I now have the perfect metal sound for the gritty, tight palm mutes and biting leads and still a warm, tight clean tones. Awesome!

Great set with the quick connectors - took me less than an hour to put it all in.

Crisp and crystal clear sound

The EMG "Het-set", sound of a passive pickup, the power of an active pickup, best of both worlds.
The pickups sounds good, looks good and with the EMG "plug and play" electronics it is easy to switch and mix different EMG pickups.

The sound is crisp, clear and versatile.
They work with classic rock, to metal, to heavier metal.
the clean sound brings a tingle to ones spine, while the distorted sound sounds like a roaring beast that blows away naysayers.
While the "Black brushed chrome" looks black on the pictures, it is more metallic and futuristic looking in real life.

If you want a set of EMG pickups but dont want the classic 60/81 setup, I recommend these or the 66/57 setup, wich has the same characteristics as these pickups and for around the same price.
