One of the best P+J sets available, but beware of faulty batch
The sound of this P+J is incredible, instant round vintage fatness. Beware however that EMG produced a faulty batch of these where the J pickup emits serious hum+buzz. This is not Thomann's fault. I had to get my set replaced twice before I got a working set. And that working set was sent to me directly from EMG. Both Thomann and EMG were helpful in resolving the issue, but I lost more than a month on bass downtime...

Riktigt bra mickar!
Har alltid använt batteridrivna EMG-mickar och visste inte vad jag skulle tänka om denna. Visserligen är Geezer Butler ett begrepp sedan tonåren hos mig, men ändå. Hursomhelst valde jag att använda mig av dessa då jag ville hotta upp min Squire J/B Bas. Jag blev inte besviken, för det är ett grymt tryck i dessa bägge. Följer man bara den medföljande instruktionen till punkt och pricka går det rätt. Räcker inte det, så finns det en alldeles utmärkt YouTube film som går igenom alla stegen.
Till en början tyckte jag balansen mellan mickarna var dålig. P-bas mickarna lät enormt medan Jazzmicken bara pep. Det åtgärdades enkelt genom att höja Jazzbasmicken så dne kom närmare strängarna. Efteråt var balansen alldeles perfekt. Rekommenderar dessa å det varmaste. Bra jobbat EMG!!

Very nice!
Very good upgrade option for bass guitars that come with not-so-great electronics.
- Installation could NOT have been made any simpler.
- They sound amazing and have great tonal range.
- They are all but hum free.
I upgraded my stock Squier precision bass pickups with these.
And boy did it make a difference!
I was actually surprised by how noise-free they are for one- I thought I installed them wrong. And now I don't even need a noise-gate in my signal chain often.
They are little hotter than my old electronics, as well. Which, again, is only for the better.
They are passive (part of why I chose them), which is very good and offers a more "vintage" tone but make no mistake: They roar SO loud. \m/
In this set, the Jazz pickup and the P-style pickup have different character, as expected, and they mix really well together but also offer a lot of variety used alone. The tonal range is also very good and wide, as I've mentioned.
All in all: excellent product!

Great sounding pickups!
I put these in my squier jaguar bass. Really lifted the bass to new heights! Would definitely recommend these!

Really Good Pickups
I bought this kit a few months ago as my Squier PJ bass needed some proper quality made pickups and hardware, so I gave this EMG pick up kit a try.
So far, I am not disappointed. Installation was easy thanks to the solder less connection system and the instructions that came with it. The sound is good too, it's very loud, but yet clean and clear. The potentiometers are very responsive and they do what they are intended.
So all in all, a very great product, and I'll highly recommend this if your PJ bass needs an upgrade.

Mycket bra.
Bra ljud, enkelt att installera, enda nackdelen med lödningsfritt är att det kan bli lite trångt då kablaget kräver sitt utrymme.

Really good upgrade
Changed the pickups on my old Squier Jaguar bas, and chose these. A good choice. Easy to install and a nice sound. Pretty wide range of sounds, but I think it is best suited for harder music (hard rock, punk, metal and similar genres).

Just what I was looking for.
Easy solderless installation onto my Squier Jaguar.
Sold that bass after some time but kept the pups.
Now the P-pup is mounted together with an active pre-amp.
Great tones.
