One of the best bits of Music Gear I ever owned!
Was looking for a compact expressive controller for my desktop setup, I had considered rebuilding my desk around a bigger/heavier alternative like the Osmose CE. But in the end am so glad I didn't go in that direction and instead bought the Erae 2 which fitted the original desk much better.
It's the most responsive controller I have ever played in terms of the sensitivity and ease of playing fast percussive parts. And even with the pitch bend modes etc it is surprisingly easy to play it cleanly (as someone who never played a controller like this), and it is making my midi tracks with software synths like Phase Plant sound more "human" than anything I could ever program in the piano roll.
The experience of using it within Bitwig is top tier too. Often when I jam with it I get happy accidents that I choose to keep rather than remove. And it took me just a few days of owning it to be making my own layouts and tweaking them with Erae Lab. Easily one of the best and most inspiring pieces of music gear I have ever owned, I am delighted with it.
