Omvänd, frälst åratal i taget!!
Testat mycket men slutligen använt slipade strängar på allt ca 8år. Akgit, elgit, reso, banjo, mandolin. Plektrum, finger, slide.. Skönt ljud, mindre stränggnissel ? inte minst på slide. Bara två problem..
1. De åldras, slits, ändrar ljud o blir tröga = måste bytas ofta. 2. De är dyra. Jag gigar med 1 ak, 1 el, 2 reso, 1 banjo = 5 set = DYRT!
Tipsad om Elixir. Avfärdade först som oslipade, ännu dyrare men fick ett set. Samma sköna ljud, sköna att spela OCH mindre stränggnissel (coatingen) Springande punkt: Hållbarhet (= pris totalt)
Kort sikt: De håller! Både plektrum, aggressivt nagelplock och slide (Glas, keramik, raspig mässing) Överraskning :) Trodde släden skulle slita igenom coatingen direkt. Icke. Och jag har hårda fingrar o tungt anslag.
Lång sikt: De håller! Har haft samma set på elgit o 1 reso sedan augusti 2015! Repar några ggr/v, gigat 6-7 ggr. Fortfarande skönt ljud o spelkänsla.
Totalt intryck: Gott ljud, coatingen ger skönt fingerglid och mkt lite stränggnissel, EXTREMT hållbara, dvs synnerligen billiga totalt. 17 mån ? hittills.. You be the judge!

Breakage gallore
I had several high e-strings break at the bridge of my strat when bending. This never ever happened with any other brand i've tried with the same guitar.

Absolutely wonderful!
I have been trying out different strings for years now, including elixirs, but these blew me away. The coating is slightly thicker, you can barely feel it, and gives a very interesting texture to the touch.
When recording, these have helped me to not accentuate the string sliding noise, it attenuates the sound of sliding across the strings, which is wonderful. People claim it might be slightly less sharp in the tone, but I think that the tone created is good enough for most genres.
Given that a 10-set is what you prefer in terms of size, this is a given!
