Electro Harmonix Abrams100 Amp Head

I was looking for a powerful gigging amp to combine with a pedal board. Priority was a good clean pre-amp but using the return input as a power amp as an option with a pedal with amp modelling.

This amp really only offers reverb as an effect. It's reverb is fine but not of interest to me using my pedals (I either use a reverb pedal or a Boss multi effects with reverb).
I am delighted with the clean sound. Works beautifully with a tubescreamer TS8 and overdrive DS-1. I can also send a GX100 directly in to the return and just use it as a power amp.
And it's so small and light for something so powerful.

I'm delighted. Great value for money, and did I mention it's light?

I love basic things, they go on working forever (some of them).
It's a neutral sounding amp, no extremes, nothing unusual about this amp, basic, but good basic, no on line junk that Google decides when your amp is obsolete.
But I never use reverb, so that's wasted.
I have zoller and de marsio p'ups, jazz, and they sound sweet through this amp and it's "loud" and clean, if you turn it up, 8 ohms, or 4 ohms load.
I have a rough electric supply, but this amp has no problems at all with it, some amps do.
No save buttons, or screens, no usb in or out, happy colours, small, light'ish, fantastic machine all round. I9 love it. Thanks thomann for introducing us (this amp & me) 👍😎🎸
