Simply the best
I know there are many compressors out there with all kinds of buttons to tweak the bra strap of the sound but the truth is, most people can't use them right and they end up destroying their dynamics (even so-called professionals). This compressor is perfect if the set attack and release ratios are in your ballpark. It's a set and forget pedal for me and I think I've bought every single edition over the years (I like to switch gear around, sue me) and I keep coming back to it. The Tubesim mode is IT, even with a tube (pre)amp. Nice bit of warmth and harmonics added, just in the right place and I find I rarely go to 3:1 (just before noon on the compression dial) with it. I'm running it at 18V. It's a fantastic pedal and definitely in my all time top three pedals.

You wanted the best you got the best. Been using this and its previous version over a decade. This is the foundation of my sound as a bassist.

Tight & Full Sound
The best bass compressor I have tried. Great controls, which if used moderately, give excellent compression without loss of tone and dynamics. I don't generally use any FX pedals as most I've tried (over many years of playing) suck the tone out of the bass signal unless you're running two channels which is way OTT for majority of gigs. This is the only pedal I now use (other than the obligatory tuner) for all gigs. Well built solid, not the cheapest but well worth it. Thomann service & delivery excellent as always!

still the best comp
Works great. It is simple to use. I have used many comps, but nothing beats Ebs. If I lost mine, I will bought another one.

Just simply good
I really like equipment like this that just works. It does exactly what it needs to and sounds good. It also is pretty transparent. It is an always on effect for my bass. And the construction is very solid.
