Dragonfly Percussion Cynthia Yeh Mahler3 BD

I wanted a set of general mallets and some mallets for playing the Mahler excerpt and I was hoping this pair could do both those jobs.

As general mallets I think they sound very good, and have a good weight and feel.

As Mahler 3 mallets I personally feel the hard side could be a little bit harder.. But I am hoping they will settle in and become a little bit more articulate after some more use. I like that they are not as bulky and heavy as the freers that are made for the same purpose.

Good mallets for a decent price!

This Mallets offers a very soft and lovely first attack but it gives a very direct and heavy sounds mainly. Not only for Mahler 3 but maybe for Verdi Operas or Modern music works beautifully as well.
